FORESTS-MY FAVORITE HABITAT

 FORESTS-MY FAVORITE HABITAT

Forests are amazing habitats. They are not just collections of trees, but are also homes to a large variety of complex organisms that include plants, animals, fungi and bacteria.
Forests are essential as they supply oxygen, timber protect watersheds and home to 300 million people and 1.6 billion depend for livelihood.
Forests play major role in reducing climate change.  But due to deforestation by fires, for agriculture, for development and climate change, wide range of plants and animals are affected.
Some of the incredible animals living in forests include Chimpanzee, Royal Bengal Tiger, Elephant and Giant Panda.  Chimpanzees also called Chimps, are social animals raise their offspring’s like humans and live over 50 years.  Chimps share 98 percent of human genes.  Chimps spend most of their time on tree tops.  They can walk like humans, do yet they walk on four legs.  Chimps use sticks to get termites.
Royal Bengal Tiger is primarily found in India.  There are only 2500 Bengal Tigers left in world.  They live in Indian subcontinent in evergreen forests, mangroves, and grasslands.  Due to Tiger Conservation units, most of the tigers are saved from poaching.  Tigresses, cubs and tigers live in groups in an area where there is enough food, water and shelter available.
Elephants are largest living animals on the Earth that can reach a height of 13 feet and weigh up to 7000 kg.  Elephants are herbivores and live in different habitats including forests.  Elephants are prone to poaching and they are killed for ivory tusks.  Due to Government’s effective watch, the elephant population in India is around 32,000.  So many sanctuaries are available to protect them.  They consume large quantities of plants every day,  such as legumes, palm, trees, grass etc.

Giant Panda is a bear native to China.  It has distinct black patches around its eyes, ears and across its round body.  It’s diet is 99% bamboo.  They are omnivores as they eat meat as well such as birds, rodents.  They live in mountain ranges in southern China as they were driven out of lowland due to deforestation and farming.  They are around 1600 Giant Pandas in the world and they are endangered species.

WHY DEMONETIZATION IS A GREAT MOVE BY Mr. MODI

WHY DEMONETIZATION IS A GREAT MOVE BY Mr. MODI

The surprise and top secret way demonetization of Rs.500 and Rs.1000 is a great move by Mr. Modi's Government on November 8th to catch unaware those who are modern day financial dacoits who are hurting Indian Economy.

Those who are genuine and sincere are no need to worry.  Those who are evaders of tax will have a miserable time in the coming days.

Also, Government post December 30th, must crackdown on real estate and Gold cartels in which even more black money is invested in fake ownership.

For the betterment of billion plus Indians, a few million crooks suffering is acceptable.

Every law binding Indian must congratulate and support Mr. Modi for his sincere efforts to make India corruption free.

Jai Hind.

FREEDOM FIGHTER WHO ALWAYS INSPIRES ME - The Iron Man of India

FREEDOM FIGHTER WHO ALWAYS INSPIRES ME
The Iron Man of India

Sri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, is the freedom fighter who always inspires me.  His father served in the army of Queen of Jhansi and mother was a devoted home maker.  He was born on 31st October 1875 in Nadiad, Gujarat.

The most important factor for his inspiration is Sri Patel gave “India back to Indians”.  He was the reason 562 princely states became part of India in 1947.  Hyderabad and Junagadh became part of India because of his brilliant timely military action.

He was influenced by father of our Nation Mahatma Gandhiji and participated in all movements of freedom struggle.  He along with Gandhiji was main force for success of Quit India Movement that finally drove British out of India.

His dedication to work is so inspiring that once the death of his wife was passed over to him when he was fighting a case.  He was so calm at that poing and announced the news only after winning the case.

Though Sri Patel was most qualified to become Prime Minister of India, he opted out at the request of Gandhiji.  This shows how selfless and simple he was.  He never opted for high paying job after completion of studies in England and came to India to take part in freedom movement.

He died on 15th December 1950, after a massive heart attack.  To honour this Great Soul, Indian Government headed by Mr. Narendra Modi intends to build World’s tallest 182 metre statue across Narmada Dam which is commendable tribute to this Iron Man.

MY COUNTRY – MOTHER INDIA

India,

The land of unity
The land of diversity

Where the Holy Ganga flows
Where the knowledge of Vedas glows

The land of the Himalayas
The land of Vedavyaas

The land of humanity
Where parents are worshipped as divinity

The land of peace
Where great warriors defeated beasts

Where the Himalayas are Crown Jewel
Where everyone fought against British Rule

The land of Holy temples
Where everyone has smiling dimples

I salute India my Mother

Where everyone lives happily together.

IMPORTANCE OF MY TEACHER (POEM)

IMPORTANCE OF MY TEACHER (POEM)

A teacher is like spring,
Who brings out ideas like a wing.

A teacher is like summer,
Who makes a student to discover.

A teacher is like fall,
Who prepares students for long haul.

A teacher is like winter,
Who makes a student’s life glitter.

A teacher is like all seasons,
Who teaches students with reasons.

Hence I respect my teacher,
Who imbibes the qualities of nature.

IMPORTANCE OF PARENT-TEACHER MEETINGS

IMPORTANCE OF PARENT-TEACHER MEETINGS

Hello friends! All of you know me.  I’m Kavitha Haima Kidambi of Grade-5 from DSE Manikonda.

This time, not just about my school, but about a general topic-“The importance of parent teacher meeting.”

I am very curious to know, “Why parents are ignoring parent-teacher meeting nowadays?”  It is their duty and responsibility of every parent to know about their kids.  This important role is ignored by most of the parents in this generation.  Parents think that it is routine one, and it can be avoided to take care of other things instead of this.

But attending parent-teacher meeting is very important as they show child’s progress, areas of concern, areas of strength and weaknesses.  Teacher is the perfect person to analyze child’s habits, behavior and interests.  That will show how the child is performing.  As every parent doesn’t feel their mistakes and always blames teacher for not getting marks or not showing interest in studies.

The teacher will give perfect assessment about areas of improvement, areas where a child need to concentrate.  This will go a long way in child’s career and behavior in future, to become a good citizen who can do his duty positively to the family and the society. By this interaction, teacher will know how the child is behaving at home.  Schools must conduct and parents must attend these interactions every month without fail.
So I feel that it is very important that parents must attend parent-teacher meeting without fail and show their part of responsibility towards their children.
